totally a steal! Im so glad you are earning enough to do something like buy a home! We didnt get to do that til a year ago and we had been married close to 7 years at that point!
The decorating is a blast ..always costs more than you think but as long as you don't mind setting a specific amount you want to spend every month then you can have a really decent looking home in a year. I can't wait to see it in person..it is a good location too. Very cool! What ward will you be in? Any family members going to be in it too?
i hope not, i do love family...but that would just not be....hmm...i just dont think that i like it....it is very close though...maybe about 3 miles away...but i do not believe that it is in their ward boundaries. The funny thing will be that we will live that close and probably will only see them when Nate and I go over there.
It does look very nice. Nate and I have thought a lot about buying a place, but, well for one, we're on the move a lot right now in our lives, so it's not cost effective, and two, they say your debt payments shouldn't exceed 28% of your income, with housing being 20% of that amount, and currently our debt payments are 75% of our income. Not feasible. I do feel the need to remind you that you don't need to buy everything new. Deseret Industries has a lot of nice couches and some cheaper beds. Those big ticket items will end up costing you a lot more if you buy new. Just a thought. Feeling burdened by debt isn't fun, take my word for it. Love you! Hope this is a good thing for you... I don't know if I could live so close to mom and dad... I have a hard enough time living so close to Nate's parents. Guess I just like my independence or somesin'.
yah, I asked the family question carefully because I didnt know how you felt about it but now that you've said it- and Laura too- I can say- I hope they won't be in your ward either! :) Especially because when you are just starting your life, you kind of need a few years away and even in the same town, you dont see eachother unless you do it on purpose but if you are in the same ward, it can be a bit tricky. Anyway, there are so many wards there, its very probable that you won't be in the same ward, I forgot about that (the crazy amount of wards as opposed to here where we have one ward for every 15miles or so )
